Wedding Dress Shopping …. Top Tips! 

Probably the most important, and the most expensive (!) dress you will ever buy, which is why selecting your dress is an experience you should never want to forget – for the right reasons of course!

When I was choosing my dress for my wedding in July 2016, I visited a number of bridal boutiques, some near and a couple further away.  I have used my own wedding dress journey to create a memorable experience for our brides.

So, I wanted to share just 5 of my top tips for wedding dress shopping:

  1. Do your research – think about the bridal boutiques you want to visit and have an idea of the designers you like. Start by searching, for example ” bridal shops basingstoke “  and then check out the boutique’s website and see if they stock the designers and styles you like the look of. It’s important that you have the best experience, it will only help you if you are looking in the right boutique to start with.
  2. Experience is everything – select a bridal boutique that will provide you that special experience throughout your journey, from selecting your dress through to your final fitting. You will get a good feeling when you first arrive, trust your instinct.   3. Who are you going to take? – some brides struggle with having too many opinions, which can be conflicting and confusing. Have a think about who you want to be with you.
  4. Be open minded – try different silhouettes and fabrics, try sleeves and strapless, and everything in between. You never know something might surprise you!
  5. Prepare to visualise – remember not every dress is going to fit you perfectly when you are trying sample dresses.  I often remind our brides that if you love the dress when in the sample, you will love it even more when it’s your own dress and it fits!
